Research
The University of Georgia has a major research initiative directed at bioenergy development (seeĀ BESC-CCRC Plant Cell Wall Synthesis and Structure Group). With regards to research devoted to switchgrass, three key areas are being targeted. These are:
- Biofuel Genomics
- Plant Breeding: Development of Switchgrass and Other Energy Crops
- Forage and Biomass Agronomics (FABA) Program
